Immunize yourself against Second Sock Syndrome by making your socks two at a time! In this class students will learn to cast on two toe-up socks at the same time, and how to work items two-at-a-time in the round.
Participants should know how to cast on, knit, purl, and be comfortable with Magic Loop technique. Familiarity with sock construction is a plus.
Materials:
  • 1 skein of fingering-weight or heavier yarn wound into two equal cakes. Suggested yarns include Knitted Wit Victory DK (solid-to-semi-solids), ToshDK (2 skeins), Raggi (solids, 2 skeins), Diamond Superwash (2 skeins, preferably a light-to-medium color)
  • long circular knitting needles of an appropriate size for your chosen yarn (Note: socks are knit much denser than other garments. Please choose a needle 2-3 sizes smaller than what you would normally use for your chosen yarn.)

Class fee is $100 for two 3-hour sessions.  Yarn for the project must be purchased at Yarnia; come in before your first class for help in selecting appropriate materials and get a 10% discount on yarn purchased for use in the class. Please arrive 10-15 minutes before the start of class with your materials.
