Intro to Colorwork: Knit a Colorwork Hat
Double the color, double the fun! Stranded knitting is a colorwork method that creates a cozy, colorful fabric. Join our instructor and learn to knit a simple colorwork hat while mastering the basics of colorwork: how to handle 2 colors at once, managing your “floats”, and tips & tricks to master this style. Knitters should be comfortable with basic knitting techniques: cast on, knit, purl, and decreases.
The first class will focus on creating a swatch and practicing techniques, then starting the project. The second class will reinforce stranded knitting techniques while continuing to work on the project. Participants should be advanced beginners or higher who are comfortable knitting in the round and can distinguish knits and purls and correct basic knitting errors.
