Knitting Two-at-a-time Socks
Immunize yourself against Second Sock Syndrome by making your socks two at a time! In this class our instructor will teach you Judy’s Magic Cast-on, and how two work items two-at-a-time in the round — also helpful for mittens, sleeves, etc.
Participants should know how to cast on, knit, purl, and be comfortable with Magic Loop technique. Familiarity with sock construction is a plus.
- 1 skein of fingering-weight or heavier yarn
- long circular knitting needles of an appropriate size for your chosen yarn (Note: socks are knit much denser than other garments. Please choose a needle 2-3 sizes smaller than what you would normally use for your chosen yarn.)
Class fee is $65 for two 90-minute sessions. Yarn for the project must be purchased at Yarnia; come in before your first class for help in selecting appropriate materials and get a 10% discount on yarn purchased for use in the class. Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of class.
Class dates: March 11 and 18
