Learn how to create your own trendy, two-color brioche cowl–so squishy and delicious to wear! In this class, you’ll learn the Brioche Knit (bark) and Brioche Purl (burp), then combine them to make a two-color cowl. Students will work on 16″ circular needles in class to make a narrow cowl.

This is an intermediate level class. Participants should be confident knitters who can fix their own mistakes in knit and purl, know how to easily recognize knit from purl, and be able to create both stockinette and ribbing without supervision.

Materials:

  • smooth, worsted-weight or DK-weight yarn in two clearly contrasting colors.
  • 16″ circular knitting needle (US 6 for DK, US 7 for worsted).
  • locking stitch marker
  • crochet hook or stitch fixer
  • ruler to measure gauge
  • tapestry needle

Class fee is $75 for three 90-minute sessions. Yarn for the class must be purchased at Yarnia; come in before your first class for help in selecting appropriate materials and get a 10% discount on yarn purchased for use in the class. Please arrive 10-15 minutes before the start of each class with your materials.
