Sock Bingo

We at Yarnia love to make socks, and we know that many of you do, too! We're back and going to be playing "Sock Bingo" all summer long to make all that sock making even more fun! Here's what you need to know to play along and qualify for prizes:

Sock Bingo runs from June 21 - September 20, 2025. Socks cast on June 21 or later may be entered.

Step 1: Get a Board

Any time from now through September 20, 2025, you can download a board from Yarnia's website, here at shopyarnia.com.  There are 3 ways to get a board:

1) You can purchase a board here.  We charge a nominal fee of $2 for the board to cover the cost of producing and shipping prizes.  

2) You can enter the code SOCKBINGO2025 at checkout with the purchase of any yarn from shopyarnia.com.  The bingo board is free with the purchase of any yarn.

3) You can join the Sock Bingo Summer Club!  This year we have a sock club premium membership (click here to learn more).  The membership comes with a board.

There's something for everyone in Summer Sock Bingo.

 

Are you an Experienced Sock Knitter?  This is a great time to challenge yourself to get out of your sock-knitting rut.  The idea is to try new things - toe-up if you've always done cuff-down, lace if you've always done plain vanilla, etc. 

 

A Brand-New Sock Knitter?  You're in the right place!  Sock Bingo has started many crafters on their sock-loving journey.

Getting a BINGO is a reason to celebrate!!

 

Everyone who submits a picture of 5 completed socks and their Sock Bingo board with a completed Bingo will receive a Yarnia Sock Bingo 2025 Katrinkles progress keeper.  Progress Keepers can only be shipped to the US and Canada. Unfortunately, rising shipping costs and the delicate nature of progress keepers mean we have to limit international shipping.  All Summer Sock Club Members will receive the 2025 Progress Keeper.

 

To be entered for the grand prize -- a $100 shopping spree at Yarnia (in-person or virtual)--submit a picture  of 5 socks you've completed that were cast on June 21 or later AND your Sock Bingo board showing your Bingo (i.e., 5 consecutive squares checked off -- across, down, or diagonal -- for elements included in the pictured socks).

 

To date, we've had over [enter #] crafters finish an entire board of Yarnia Sock Bingo--that's incredible!  We think your accomplishment should be memorialized...so this year we've established the Sock Bingo Hall of Fame, a plaque in our store with the name of each full-bingo-board knitter and the year of their accomplishment.  Your name is in the history books!!

Fine print:

Your five socks may not be five identical socks - remember, this is about trying new things! They can be two pairs plus one additional sock, one pair plus three additional socks, or five separate socks. 
You can check off multiple boxes for one sock, but you may not use the attributes or methods of a single sock to get a Bingo. For needle, choose the one used for the majority of the sock. 
Double dipping is allowed, even encouraged! Feel free to enter your Sock Bingo socks in other MALs like KnittyNatty's Sock Week or the Crazy Sock Lady's Summer Sock Camp. 
Socks must be hand knit or crocheted (fully machine knit socks do not qualify; but afterthought heel, toe and cuff socks cranked on Clementine are one of the flexi-square options!). 
Socks must include at least 50 rows to be entered - adult socks of all lengths and kids socks should qualify; baby socks would not.
